RE: Vergleich: 16mm - Kleinbild - 4x5"

Joe McGloin aka XKAES (Eigner von MINMAN) hat einen netten Vergleich angestellt und folgendes in seiner Yahoo Group gepostet:

ZITATIn order to address some of the newer questions, I've run some additional
tests with various formats. Now that we know that smaller; formats have sharper
lenses, and we can see how much shaper, the question becomes "OK, but does it
make a difference when you add in the film format?"

David Brooks said he saw no difference between 35mm APX25 and 4x5 with
ISO125 film. Since I'm an old APX25 user, I didn't doubt his results, but now was
the perfect time to test it with my gear.

I first tests posed 35mm APX25 against Gigabit 25 in the 4x5 size (I don't
have any 4x5 APX25 left to use). I used a Minolta XK with a 45mm Rokkor-X lens
for the 35mm shot and a Fujinon 150mm on the 4x5. All tests were on a tripod
with a cable release. All images were taken from a distance of four feet and
then enlarged in a Beseler enlarger with appropriate lenses for a target
size of four inches. The results are not reproduced here, but the Gigabit blows
the 35mm image out of the water. The Gigabit results actually look sharper
than the resolution target!

Then I tested 35mm APX25 against Ilford Delta 100 in the 4x5 size (a
comparison similar to what David Brooks made). The results are not reproduced here,
but the Delta 100 is also sharper, in my opinion, than the 35mm image.

Lastly I tested 35mm APX25 against Agfa AP400 in the 4x5 size. The results
can be seen at

The AP400 image (top left) is the winner, in my opinion, over the 35mm image
(top right), but not by much. The 4x5 image has smaller grain. On the
bottom, just for yucks, I threw in an image made from a 16mm negative from a
Minolta MG-S. The image is grainer than the others -- no surprise -- but it still
holds its own very well. Considering that the 16mm negative is only 1/64 the
size of the 4x5 negative, it created an amazing image.[/quote]
