Noch ist der astronomische Preis ja ein Gerücht. Nebensächlichkeiten wie schnellerer SSM und neue Vergütung sollen ja auch hinzukommen ;-) Sollte sich am AF tatsächlich eine deutliche Verbesserung zeigen, wäre das Objektiv interessant, sofern es nicht tatsächlich zu dem Mondpreis angeboten wird. In letzterem Fall bliebe ich eben bei meinem alten 70-400G, das in Silber ohnehin schöner als mit diesem häßlichen Weiß aussieht .

Wichtiger als eine neue Vergütung wäre allerdings sicherlich Wetterversiegelung...

Buuuh... ;-)

Tatsächlich hätte ich schwarz bevorzugt, aber auch in weißer Farbe kommt dieses Objektiv für mich erstmals überhaupt in Frage, wohingegen ich die silberne Farbe aus praktischen Erwägungen kategorisch abgelehnt habe.

Schön, daß Sony hier und beim SAL-500F40G eingelenkt ist, aber daß dafür unzählige Vorstöße über einen Zeitraum von vier Jahren notwendig waren, ist traurig.

Schade dass man die Geli nicht auf den Fotos des 70-400II sieht. Ich hoffe mal sie ist schwarz und passt auf das "alte" 70-400. Dann wird das mein nächster Kauf.
Das einzige was an der Alu-Optik des 70-400 wirklich stört ist diese "leuchtende" Geli.

Und nochmal vier Jahre "kämpfen", bis auch das "Staubfänger"-Gummi-Feinriffelung von Entfernungs- und Fokusring gegen etwas Besseres getauscht wird (z.B. "glattes" Gummi ohne Riffelung wie beim SAL-35F14G, aus hautsympatischerem Gummi oder gar aus Metall wie beim SAL-85F14Z, SAL-135F18Z, SAL-24F20Z)?

Ich weiß nicht, werden die Objektive in Japan nicht genutzt, oder gibt es in Japan keinen Staub und Schmutz?

Das neuen Sony Alpha 4-5,6/70-400mm G SSM II (SAL-70400G2) ist soeben offiziell vorgestellt worden, allerdings bisher nur indirekt zusammen mit der ebenfalls vorgestellten SLT-A58:

In der englischen Pressemitteilung wird es nicht erwähnt, ist aber auf einer der Abbildungen an der SLT-A99 zu sehen.

Wie erwartet ist die Gehäusefarbe des Objektivs weiß und das Filtergewinde E77.

Vermutlich ist das Objektiv auch wetterversiegelt und verfügt über einen schnelleren Autofokus.

Die optische Rechnung des Objektivs hat sich gegenüber dem Vorgänger Sony Alpha 4-5,6/70-400mm G SSM (SAL-70400G) nicht geändert. Die Lens ID der neuen Variante lautet 69. Das SAL-70400G2 wird von der AF-D-Funktion der SLT-A99 bereits unterstützt, sofern mindestens die Firmware 1.01 installiert ist. Da das SAL-70400G2 mit großer Wahrscheinlichkeit zu den (derzeit noch sehr wenigen) Objektiven gehört, deren Objektivchip bereits ein Korrekturprofil für die automatische Objektivkorrektur mancher Gehäuse vorhält, dürfte die automatische Objektivkorrektur von Abbildungsfehler mit allen Gehäusen funktionieren, die über diese Funktion verfügen. Letzterer Punkt muß aber noch verifiziert werden.

Offering a fixed 50mm focal length and extra-bright F1.4 aperture, the premium lens is an ideal choice for quality-critical portraiture and low-light shooting.

Featuring 8 elements in 5 groups with two aspherical elements, the brand new optical design is optimised for superb results with Sony’s full-frame α99. Exceptional resolving power and contrast at all apertures are teamed with smooth, quiet autofocusing and a rear-focus system that maintains the same lens body length during AF. "DT 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 SAM II” zoom

Boasting second-generation styling, this new lens succeeds the popular DT 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 SAM that was introduced in 2011. The light, compact 3x zoom lens covers a frequently-used range of focal lengths from wide-angle 18mm to standard 55mm (35mm camera equivalent range: 27-82.5mm). While retaining the same smooth AF motor (SAM) as its predecessor, newly-designed rear lens elements suppresses flare and ghost, while mechanical elements have been upgraded for more positive, comfortable operation.

New accessories for Sony cameras and camcorders

The HVL-F20M is a space-saving, easy to carry new flash for Multi Interface Shoe mounted cameras, that’s ideal for brightening up portraits, interiors and dimly-lit scenes. Despite its compact size, it’s packed with pro-style features like wireless control for fuss-free multi flash set-ups, simple bounce operation and Auto White Balance compensation for more accurate, natural-looking white balance. It’s refreshingly easy to use: just raise the flash head to switch on… then turn off again by lowering when the flash isn’t needed.

Inzwischen ist der schnellere Autofokus bestätigt, ebenso wie die Tatsache, daß die Optikrechnung sich nicht geändert hat, das Objektiv aber eine verbesserter Vergütung ("Nano AR" aufweist.

Erstaunlicherweise wird bisher nirgendwo eine Wetterversiegelung erwähnt, auch nicht auf der Seite von Sony Deutschland:

Wobei der UVP für das "alte" 70-400 auch bei 1799,-¤ lag. Der UVP des aktuellen Nikon 80-400 liegt auch schon bei 1899,- ¤.

Trotzdem bin ich froh das ich mein 70-400 noch für 1249,-¤ bekommen habe (Neuware, Fachhändler...)
