Für Hobbyfilmer bricht eine neue Ära an: Mit der Handycam NEX-VG10E von Sony können sie bei Filmaufnahmen das Objektiv frei wählen und ihren Camcorder so nahezu jeder Aufnahmesituation individuell anpassen. Der HD Flash Camcorder sorgt mit seinem 14,2 Megapixel APS-C HD CMOS Exmor Sensor und dem hochwertigen Zoom-Objektiv SEL18200 für brillante Video- und Fotoaufnahmen. Zugleich schaffen manuelle Einstellmöglichkeiten der Tiefenschärfe eine neue Freiheit der Bildgestaltung, ähnlich den kreativen Möglichkeiten einer Spiegelreflexkamera.

Die NEX-VG10E darf als Höchstleistung der Ingenieurskunst bezeichnet werden: Der Unterschied zu einem herkömmlichen Camcorder kann mit dem Unterschied zwischen einer kompakten Digitalkamera und einer digitalen Spiegelreflexkamera verglichen werden. Dabei bleibt die NEX-VG10 trotz ihres innovativen Konzeptes und ihrer außergewöhnlichen filmischen Möglichkeiten äußerst kompakt.

Große Auswahl an Wechselobjektiven: Novum für Hobbyfilmer

Ambitionierte Hobbyfotografen sind es schon lange gewohnt, mit verschiedenen Objektiven und manuellen Kameraeinstellungen alle fototechnischen Möglichkeiten auszureizen. Auch Hobbyfilmern stehen nun mit dem innovativen Camcorder-Konzept von Sony neue kreative Wege im Bestreben um die bestmögliche Bildwirkung offen.

Die NEX-VG10E ist der erste HD Flash Camcorder mit Wechseloptik für den Consumer Bereich. Er verfügt wie die beiden spiegellosen Systemkameras NEX-3 und NEX-5 über ein E-Mount Bajonett, so dass er mit allen E-Mount Objektiven der Sony NEX-Serie kompatibel ist. Außerdem lassen sich auch Objektive von digitalen Spiegelreflexkameras nutzen: Dank des optional erhältlichen Adapters LA-EA1 lassen sich auch alle Alpha Optiken sowie Konica Minolta Objektive mit der neuen Handycam von Sony kombinieren. Damit verfügen Hobbyfilmer über eine große Auswahl an Brennweiten, Lichtstärken und Blenden. Sie reichen von der Makro- bis zur Super-Tele-Linse über hochwertige Portrait-Objektive mit Festbrennweite von Carl Zeiss bis hin zu lichtstarken G-Optiken von Sony.

Das E-Mount Objektiv SEL18200 (F3.5-6.3) ist bereits im Lieferumfang der NEX-VG10 enthalten. Es bietet einen 11fach optischen Zoom und eignet sich durch den lautlosen Autofokus und die integrierte optische Bildstabilisierung (SteadyShot) perfekt für gestochen scharfe Video-Aufnahmen ohne Verwackelungen. Bei Weitwinkel-Aufnahmen verstärkt der Aktiv-Modus den Effekt noch einmal deutlich und verbessert insbesondere Aufnahmen, die in Bewegung, beispielsweise im Gehen gefilmt werden. Dies gilt natürlich nicht nur für Video-, sondern auch für Fotoaufnahmen, deren Bildqualität sich mit der einer Spiegelreflexkamera messen kann.

Leistungsstarker Sensor: Filme mit cineastischer Anmutung

Dass mit der Handycam NEX-VG10E atemberaubende Videos und Fotos gelingen, liegt nicht zuletzt am Exmor APS HD CMOS Sensor und seiner Auflösung von 14,2 Megapixel. Erstmals in einen Camcorder von Sony integriert, markiert er für Video-Enthusiasten einen Meilenstein, ist er doch 19,5 Mal größer als die Sensoren herkömmlicher Camcorder. Der APS-C-Sensor ermöglicht in Zusammenarbeit mit den vielseitigen Objektiv-Blenden brillante Aufnahmen mit geringer Tiefenschärfe und Unschärfe-Effekten, die mit herkömmlichen Camcordern ausgeschlossen sind. Damit können Hobbyfilmer ihren Videoaufnahmen eine fast cineastische Anmutung verleihen - die Zeiten als eine sterile Tiefenschärfe die Amateurkamera verriet, sind damit vorbei.

Multi-Formatfähig: Filme und Fotos mit bester Qualität

Die NEX-VG10E filmt Videoaufnahmen in einer Full HD Auflösung von 1920 x 1080 Pixel (1080i) und im FX-Modus mit einer Bitrate von 24 Mbps. Wer Speicherkapazität sparen möchte, kann auch den FH- (16 Mbps) oder HQ-Modus (9 Mbps mit 1440 x 1080 Pixel) wählen. Videos werden im AVCHD-Format auf der Speicherkarte des Camcorders abgelegt. Hierfür eignen sich sowohl Memory Sticks (PRO Duo und PRO-HG Duo HX) als auch SD/SDHC/SDXC-Karten (ab Klasse 4). Fotos schießt die NEX-VG10E mit einer Auflösung von 12 (16:9-Format) oder 14 Megapixel (3:2-Format). Gespeichert werden diese im JPEG Format.

Keine Kompromisse bei Ausstattung und Sound

Videos und Fotos stellt die NEX-VG10E auf ihrem Xtra Fine LC-Display in verblüffender Qualität dar. Das garantieren die Bildschirmmaße von 7,6 Zentimetern (drei Zoll), eine Auflösung von 921.600 Pixel und die TruBlack™-Technologie. Das Display gewährleistet hohe Kontraste und eine ebenso detailreiche wie scharfe Abbildung der Menüs und Motive. Letztere können auch im elektronischen Sucher betrachtet werden - zum Beispiel wenn grelles Sonnenlicht die Darstellung auf dem Display beeinträchtigt. Der Sucher bietet eine Auflösung von 1.152.000 Pixel und lässt sich flexibel in einen anderen Winkel kippen.

Neben dem Display sind auch die weiteren Bedienelemente auf Komfort ausgerichtet. Ein in seiner Funktion leicht verständliches Einstellrad und mehrere Bedienknöpfe geben speziell dem Anfänger eine schnelle Orientierung über die Einstellmöglichkeiten des Camcorders. Und diese sind immens - die NEX-VG10E lässt sich im Prinzip handhaben wie eine Spiegelreflexkamera: Blende, Verschlusszeit, Signalverstärker und Weißabgleich kann der Filmer manuell justieren.

Auch der Ton der Videoaufnahmen steht der Qualität des Bildes in nichts nach: Das integrierte Raumklang-Mikrofon (4 Kapseln) nimmt vier verschiedene Soundfelder auf und kombiniert sie zu einem Dolby Digital-Stereo-Signal. Hoch entwickelte Soundtechnologien stärken dabei den Eigenklang des Motivs und senken zugleich den Pegel störender Umgebungsgeräusche. Optional erhältliche Zusatz-Mikrofone können an dem vorhandenen Eingang angeschlossen werden.

Lieferumfang und optionales Zubehör

Neben dem SEL18200 Objektiv sind im Lieferumfang auch Akku, Netzladeadapter, Netzteil, Windschutz, Schutzkappen, USB-Kabel sowie zur Verwaltung von Fotos und Video die Picture Motion Browser Software (CD-ROM) enthalten. Als Einführungsangebot ist außerdem ein Gutscheincode für den kostenlosen Download des Videobearbeitungsprogramms "Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10" von Sony im Lieferumfang enthalten. Die Software enthält alles, was zum Produzieren von erstklassigen Filmen nötig ist und um sie auf YouTube™ zu veröffentlichen, auf Blu-ray Disc™ zu brennen oder um DVDs zu gestalten. Dieses Einführungsangebot ist nur für eine begrenzte Zeit gültig. Optional erhältlich ist das Zoom-Mikrofon ECM-CG50 und diverse Ersatz-Akkus wie der NP-FV100, der voll geladen bis 330 Minuten Filmaufnahme in HD ermöglicht. Eine hochwertige Tasche rundet das Zubehörangebot ab.

Compatible with a choice of high quality E-mount lenses, it's the first consumer camcorder that offers the same breadth of creative expression enjoyed by DSLR photographers. Alongside the three currently available E-mount lenses, users of the NEX-VG10E can experience a wide variety of A-mount DSLR optics by using the optional LA-EA1 mount adaptor. Picking from a choice of award-winning Sony G lenses, fixed-focal length Carl Zeiss portrait lenses and other models from macro to super-telephoto, videographers will have unprecedented freedom to explore an exciting world in movie creation.

At the heart of the NEX-VG10E is a 14.2 effective megapixel Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor that's teamed with Sony's powerful BIONZTM processor to capture very high resolution video and still images. Approximately 19.5 times bigger than the standard sensor found in other consumer camcorders, the APS-C sized imager also enables an extremely shallow depth of field. This allows videographers to achieve 'cinematic' results with beautiful background defocus (bokeh). In addition, the ability to capture DSLR-quality still images gives videographers extra shooting flexibility on assignment with less to carry.

Full HD 1920x1080 video images are captured in AVCHDTM format at up to the maximum 24 Mbps bit rate for superlative detail and clarity. Unlike many digital still cameras including DSLR that support HD video, there's virtually no restriction on continuous shooting time. Just slip in your choice of either Memory Stick PRO DuoTM or SD media cards and capture Full HD video and JPEG still images for easy transfer into your existing PC storage and editing environment.

The NEX-VG10E comes supplied as standard with an image-stabilised E18-200mm F3.5-6.3 OSS lens that offers a powerful 11x optical zoom range. Because of its optimized design for video shooting, this high-quality E-mount lens offers smooth, ultra low noise autofocus and iris control. In-built Optical SteadyShot image stabilisation assures clearer video images when you're shooting handheld. At wide angle settings, Active Mode enhances anti-shake performance even further, steadying jittery images even while walking. The lens also features a circular aperture for the creation of beautiful bokeh effects whether you’re shooting video or stills.

Reflecting the demands of serious videographers, sound quality matches the phenomenal imaging performance of the NEX-VG10E. The Quad Capsule Spatial Array Stereo Microphone uses advanced processing algorithms to combine signals from four separate omnidirectional microphone capsules. The result is exceptionally clear stereo audio with a highly directional response: this allows videographers to capture more sound from the subject they're shooting, and less of distracting sounds around them. There’s also a jack for adding an optional external stereo mic, plus a headphone jack for audio monitoring.

With a photo-realistic 921k dot resolution, the 7.5cm/3 inch-type Xtra Fine LCD features TruBlackTM technology for an exceptionally detailed, high contrast view of images and menu settings. The LCD is supplemented by a high-resolution (1152k dot) electronic viewfinder that assists easy framing and monitoring. The viewfinder helps operator capture clear images in bright daylight and its angle can be easily adjusted for comfortable operation.

Despite its groundbreaking creative possibilities, the NEX-VG10E is compact, beautifully balanced and easy to handle, even for novice videographers. An intuitive jog dial and hotkeys make it easy to navigate camera menus and adjust shooting parameters. Videographers can also enjoy precise manual control over Iris, Shutter Speed, Gain and White Balance for professional results.

A range of official accessories includes the ECM-CG50 Shotgun Microphone that attaches to the camcorder's accessory shoe. There’s also a choice of rechargeable battery options, including the NP-FV100 that provides power for up to 330 minutes continuous HD shooting. Das Modell für den europäischen Markt heißt NEX-VG10E, das Modell für den amerikanischen Markt NEX-VG10A und das Modell für den japanischen Markt nennt sich vermutlich NEX-VG10J.

Die interne Sony-Codenummer für den NEX-VG10 lautet "CX36000".

Über den Preis ist man sich offensichtlich noch nicht einig, in der obigen Presseerklärung ist von 1999 EUR inkl. des SEL-18200 Objektivs die Rede, unter dem folgenden Link findet sich hingegen (noch) die unverbindliche Preisempfehlung von 4399 EUR:

Das ist interessant, dass du die gleiche Assoziation wie ich hattest. Ich war noch auf der Suche nach dem besten Vergleich, aber der obere Aufbau mit dem Mikro erinnert glaube ich am ehesten an einen klingonischen Bird of Prey . Das Gesamtkonzept mit den zwei Decks ist aber eher bei dem Romulanern angesiedelt. Hmm, ich hab mich zu lange nicht mit dem Kram beschäftigt

Das ist interessant, dass du die gleiche Assoziation wie ich hattest. Ich war noch auf der Suche nach dem besten Vergleich, aber der obere Aufbau mit dem Mikro erinnert glaube ich am ehesten an einen klingonischen Bird of Prey . Ich seh schon, wenn diese Kamera von den Familienvätern in ein paar Jahren irgendwann man zum Alteisen deklariert wird, taugt sie bestimmt immer noch hervorragend als Kinderspielzeug für den Nachwuchs... ;-)
